My name is Pavil Jones (10th grade) and this is a video of me playing a piano solo of the third movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, the most difficult piece I’ve learned entirely. I performed it at last year’s Fine Arts Week, after months of preparation, so I don’t know how I still remember how to play it! The adrenaline during that first large-scale performance was like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my life. The reason I chose to take on the challenge of mastering this piece in the first place was that I needed to take my playing to a new level.
