Picture a little girl stomping away in puddles of rainwater, soaked to the bone and smiling. She wears bright yellow rainboots; her hair is bright yellow, too. Eventually, that spirited little girl outgrew her yellow rainboots. Nowadays, she prefers to cozy up with a book and listen to raindrops dance on rooftops. When she walks in the rain, she leaps over the puddles; if the forecast mentions rain, she carries an umbrella.
I’m no longer a little girl, but I still love the rain. Just in a different way.
