Every year in January, The Golden Globes, reward the hard work nominated actors put in every year in movies and television. The Red Carpet is an event before the awards ceremony where stars are able to showcase their unique fashion to the media. Here, I will be ranking the Top 10 looks from Vogue’s 2025 Red Carpet.
Number 10-Jeremy Strong
Strong had one of the most eye-catching looks in the Golden Globes, dressed up in a custom plush velvet Loro Piana suit in a striking shade of teal. The outfit featured a single-button notch-lapel jacket, slim tailored trousers, a baby cashmere turtleneck knit and a coordinating teal bucket hat. Strong was styled by Warren Alfie Baker, who was featured on Hollywood’s 25 Most Powerful Stylist list. The reason why I think this outfit is 10th is because it isn’t as elegant as some others, the full monochrome teal making it a lot bolder and silly.
Number 9-Ariana DeBose
DeBose wore a Oscar de la Renta cocoa chiffon caftan dress with fluted waist and cape along with a slicked-back updo and gold jewelry. This look was elegant and perfect for the Golden Globes ceremony. DeBose was styled by Zadrian Smith and Sarah Edmiston, who have been styling partners since 2020, and have over a decade of experience. This look was only number nine on this list because even though the texture and look is overall pretty, the colors are bland and barely stand out to the other colorful looks .
Number 8-Dwayne Johnson
Johnson was styled in a custom fit by Dolce & Gabbana, with plain black trousers and a silk lavender undershirt, half unbuttoned, making it more casual, hence the lower rank. The look was completed with a matching lavender jacket, a diamond brooch and a chain.
Number 7-Scott Evans
Evans donned an all-black Harbison Studio suit, in which the studio focuses on both the arts and sciences. Leaning into the fundamentals of design, principles of aesthetics and the complex science behind fabrics and materials. Evans brought the outfit home with red and gold accessories and fashionably long pants. This look is number seven because that length of pants and unbuttoned shirt are not common in the celebrity fashion industry.
Number 6-Kaley Cuoco
Cuoco wore a stunning A-line Chanel dress, which featured a loose but well tailored structure, paired with a cape-like overlay for added drama and femininity. Along with her Jimmy Choo Crystal-Embellished Satin Sandals and minimalist silver jewelry, this presenter really pulled her look together. This look was snowy and elegant, yet overly simple, earning her sixth place.
Number 5-Viola Davis
Davis’ Gucci gown was a rewear from the 2024 Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Gala in November. The choice to rewear a dress pulls Davis further down in the rankings. Her outfit consisted of a black sequined dress with a V-neck and a dramatic rainbow beaded cape paired with bold rainbow earrings. Her dress complemented her confidence when she received the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.
Number 4-Andrew Garfield
Garfield rocked the Red Carpet in a forest-green Gucci suit with black accents and David Yurman jewelry. Although he took off his tinted glasses before the red carpet, Garfield’s look wouldn’t be complete without them. Garfield’s stylist, Warren Alfie Baker was featured in publications such as GQ, Flaunt, and Vanity Fair Italy. The unbuttoned shirt and monochromatic color palette make this outfit have a little less flair for a red carpet event.
Number 3-Timothee Chalamet
Chalamet’s 2025 look was from stylist Haider Ackermann from the Tom Ford brand, a red carpet debut for Ackermann’s first work as Creative Director for Tom Ford. Ackermann has been dressing Chalamet for years. The black textured suit was slim—a markedly different silhouette for the label—with a blue spotty scarf wrapped around Chalamet’s neck. This look was creative and unique to the red carpet—putting it at number three.
Number 2-Kate Hudson
Hudson was dressed in a Carolina Herrera ball gown with a matching statement necklace. The strapless navy gown featured tiered floral embroidery and sequin embellishments. She was styled by Marc Eram, who has also curated looks for Paris Hilton. Hudson’s hair was done up in a bun with her bangs shaping her face. This look was elegant, fashionable, and had many beautiful rose details that earned her second.
Number 1-Zendaya
Finally, at number one, we have Zendaya, who donned a dramatic, burnt orange satin dress from Louis Vuitton with matching pointed-toe pumps. Her look was styled by her longtime collaborator and image architect Law Roach. Zendaya was accessorized with a glitzy necklace and Bulgari jewelry, accented with diamonds and tourmaline. However, the main focus of this star’s look was the ring on her left ring finger. Fans and fellow actors speculated her possible engagement to Tom Holland, who she has been dating since 2021. Later, the actors confirmed that they are engaged and to be married.
Overall, all the actors, directors, and other attendants of the Golden Globes were dressed delightfully. This is just one opinion on hundreds of styles and looks throughout the entire red carpet viewing. Even though the Golden Globes are an awards ceremony, fashion is a big part of the event, and millions of viewers were excited to see how attendants dressed this year.
