Words from the hard rock band Thousand Foot Krutch, “The end is where we begin.” Remember that. Remember that the end is not always horrible. The end means new beginnings. The Death card in tarot means the end, new beginnings, profound transformations, and it encourages us to embrace change and release what no longer serves us. Take it from someone who left my entire life to live in Wisconsin. It wasn’t a long process, it was an opportunity to visit. My father and I saw the opportunities of a bigger and better life. To get out of what was holding us back from our real potential. It took one day to decide that we aren’t going back, and it’s by far the best decision I’ve ever made in my fourteen years of life. Change is not always bad. In fact, it’s most likely something to look at a different perspective with. Instead of being scared of change, look at how this change can impact your life. I moved away, and I have the chances to be who I wanted to be that I didn’t have in Texas. I have the chance to be a singer songwriter, or someone who writes inspirational papers from just the times I wanted to write about things that popped up in my mind. Everything in your life happens for a reason. Every smile, every laugh, every tear, cry, scream, pain, push, shove, traumatic event. It happens. It’s your story. Your decisions change your outcome. Every thought, spoken and unspoken word. It will change your life and death. It’s like a railroad track that will change direction with what the conductor says. Your mood will change how you act and perform, meaning watching a sad video can change your future.
I don’t know if maturing at a young age is a good thing or a bad thing. It takes trauma, from bullying to life changing events, but if none of that ever happened, who would I be today? Would I be writing this because I wanted to? Would I be like my mom or my dad? If I didn’t get in that car, what would have happened to me then? You have to think. Look back at yourself, be proud of who you are, and if you aren’t, build yourself into someone you can be proud of because one day, you’ll have to be the person someone looks up to, and I’m going to be their hero. Ask yourself, what role do you want to play in your life and others?
“I didn’t need leave to stay right here.” When you move on and begin your journey of changing for the better, remember that line. Remember that you didn’t move here, away from everything you loved but hurt you, to be the same person who you were before. Never lose yourself to the toxic life you had before. Take this movement as your rehab. Your own version of what you need to do to become a better person.
Inspiring words from the metal band Slipknot, “If I lose, at least I tried.” This is important to remember because a lot of people beat themselves up over small losses when really, they should be thankful for all of the things they’ve accomplished. If you gave it your all, and still lost, it wasn’t meant to be. Trying is sometimes the most you can do, and that shows that you really care and that you work hard. Giving your all is amazing, and if you lose, It’s okay.
Slipknot words, “The greatest conclusion that I ever had
Was when I woke up and said that’s enough, living never felt so bad “”This stress is a feeling that you can’t compress. Everything you’re going through is total stress. Are you going to be a momentary king or just a run around? Or will you handle the matter and prove you exist?”
Getting up and deciding that you aren’t going to go down a path of negativity anymore is probably one of the best decisions you can make in your entire life. Changing your life for the better is amazing, it makes you realize how beautiful life can be when you live and go out and do something with yourself. When you do something with your life, do something you love, depression is cured without medication. Anxiety is cured without medication. All it took for me to stop taking anxiety medication was being somewhere I knew I could be whoever I wanted to be. I moved with a decision I’d been wanting to make for a long time. When given the opportunity, especially if you thought it wouldn’t happen for years, that is your sign to take it. It will open more doors for you that will guide you to have a better life.
Slipknot said, “I won’t be the wasted potential” Slipknot also said, “This stress is a feeling that you can’t compress. Everything you’re going through is total stress. Are you going to be a momentary king or just a run around? Or will you handle the matter and prove you exist?” The last thing I’d like to talk about is loving yourself. Loving yourself isn’t just about saying “I’m great.” Self love goes a long way in different directions. Self love is getting up in the morning, eating a good breakfast, and doing a healthy morning routine. Self love is being who you want to be because that’s what you love doing. Self love is taking care of yourself physically and emotionally. Not only do you brush your teeth, but you smile more. Not only do you exercise, but you become more social. Everything you do to yourself that is positive affects your mental health. If you eat junk and sit on the couch all day, you’ll become lazy and soon enough, you’ll be guilty when you eat, drink, or play a game. You’ll be guilty of doing the things you love because you didn’t do it when you were done with responsibilities or you gave yourself a big reward with a small achievement. You only live once, so do what you love doing in a healthy way. After going to the gym, doing chores, and other errands you may need, take the time in day to sit, relax, and do what you like doing. You need hobbies in life to have a healthy life. You can thrive off of hobbies and become successful. Why? Because you love yourself. It’s not narcissistic. The people who say you’re being narcissistic for self improvement are the people who are jealous that you are doing better than them.
I’m giving credit to the people who’ve said the quotes in the beginning of the paragraphs.
