Dear Readers,
Writing for The Cardinal Chronicle has been one of the best parts of my time in high school. I could not possibly thank the people who’ve supported me and The Cardinal Chronicle enough.
I first joined our publication as a sophomore when an unexpected email from the club arrived in my inbox. I wasn’t sure if journalism was for me, but thought I’d go to a meeting and try it out. To be honest, my first impression of the club left me a little intimidated by the deep commitment of the Chronicle staff. I decided to stay with the club for at least one publication, and over the past three years I’ve grown to understand and share that commitment. I believe The Cardinal Chronicle is an integral part of MHS, and I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of it.
I’d first like to thank our past Editorial Boards who’ve supported our club and helped me grow into the writer and person I am today. I could not be more grateful for that support, and would like to especially thank Raju Rawal for all she did for the club and myself as Editor-in-Chief last year.
This year, our small but mighty staff has made significant strides towards further serving the community as we strive to cover the stories and events which MHS and Middleton as a whole care about most. To all of our reporters, I so proud of all the work you’ve done for the newspaper.
Thank you to this year’s Editorial Board for dedicating their time and energy towards our publication. You all should be proud of the work you’ve accomplished this year. I hope those leaving the publication this year do so with a sense of pride. For those staying, I’m confident that you will continue to bring the newspaper to new heights.
Thank you to the MHS and Middleton community for reading and supporting our newspaper. Thank you especially to the teachers and administrators at MHS for your support of The Cardinal Chronicle.
Thank you to Eunice Chung, our Managing Editor and Art Hub director. Her work expanding the Art Hub and helping the publication run smoothly is a credit to her intelligence, her dedication to the publication and her love for journalism and writing.
Thank you to Mrs. Julian for making everything we do possible. Without her work The Cardinal Chronicle literally could not run, and her constant commitment to the publication these past years is nothing short of admirable. While I’m sorry to see her leave the club, I know I speak for our entire staff as I wish her the best of luck in her future here at MHS.
Thank you so much to all our readers and staff. I believe a publication like The Cardinal Chronicle exists to serve its community, and I’m confident that it will continue to do so. I will miss the newspaper dearly, and hope that you all will continue to read and enjoy our publication.
