MHS Boys Golf Preview
February 24, 2018
Although Middleton has experienced harsh weather this Winter, Spring is closer than you may think. Spring is the ideal time to participate in many exciting activities at Middleton High School. One of the many Spring sports offered to students is Golf.
Chandon Thomas, a junior and a member of the Varsity Golf team, shares the experiences he’s had playing golf for the Cardinals and what he looks forward to in the upcoming season.
When asked about his favorite memories from last year’s season he responded, “I just loved the guys that I played with, the courses I got to play, [and] the competitive atmosphere that golf brought to Middleton.” Although Golf is a sport that is known for being very competitive at Middleton, casual players are also welcome to join. Thomas describes the balance of competition and casual environment, “At practices, we combine both [Varsity and Junior Varsity teams], and we’re able to have fun and be competitive at the same time.” The MHS Golf Team had a successful season last year, but Thomas believes they can do even better. “I think we can go far to State this year and maybe have a chance to win the state title.”
Thomas hopes more memories can be created in the 2018 season with the help of Middleton’s very talented golfers. The Boys Golf team has their first practice April 2nd after school at Pleasant View Golf Course. If interested, please visit the link below to register for the 2018 Boys Golf Season.
