MHS Girls Fashion Trends Fall 2021

Hey Cardinals! In the past few weeks, outfits in the halls of Middleton High School popped out with a lot of personality and definition. Let us take a look at some of the trends at MHS this month.

Sam Scheonke (Freshman):

What would you call your style? “I just call it trendy things I find in my closet or street wear.”

Where did you get your clothing items? “I got my jeans from Target. The sweater vest is from my sister’s closet, the white shirt from Target, and I got the necklace for my birthday. I also got my rings from thrifting.”

Where/who do you get your inspiration from? “From my sister is how it started because I really love her style. And then also fictional characters. Also Pinterest.”

Where do you usually like to shop? “The men’s section at Old Navy because they have really good graphic T-shirts. And then Target because they have nice clothing. I also like thrifting.”

Ella Hanson (Senior):

What would you call your style? “Grunge.”

Where did you get your clothing items? “The jean jacket is from Depop, the dress is from Goodwill, the shoes are handed down, and the necklaces are from Asos. The earrings are from Ragstock.”

Where/who do you get your inspiration from? “My friends, TikTok, and celebrities.”

Where do you usually like to shop? “I usually like to thrift.”

Isobel Ensenberger (Freshman):

What would you call your style? “Comfy.”

Where did you get your clothing items? “The red Tommy Hilfiger sweater is a hand-me-down. I got the jeans from Urban Outfitters. I got the Converse shoes from the Converse outlet.”

Where/who do you get your inspiration from? “I get my inspiration from my friends.”

Where do you usually like to shop? “I actually don’t go shopping, and a lot of my clothes are hand-me-downs from my sister, but when I do, I like shopping at Marshalls, Pacsun, and the Shoebox.”

Nuha Khatri (Freshman):

What would you call your style? “Retro, chic, and artsy.”

Where did you get your clothing items? “I have a jewelry business with my sister, Reya (@blue.salt.accessories 

on Instagram), and that’s where I got my necklace. I got my rings from Etsy and boutiques. The Doc Marten shoes are from my sister, Reya. I got the brown shirt from my dad, I got the white undershirt from Target, and I got my pants from Shein.”

Where/who do you get your inspiration from? “My sister, my mom, and social media.”

Where do you usually like to shop? “Pacsun, Etsy, and Target.”

Elise Du Chateau (Sophomore)

What would you call your style? “I’d say that the thing about my style is that I go with a lot of cute trends.”

Where did you get your clothing items? “My shoes I got from the Converse website. My jeans are from Pull and Bear. My sweater is from my dad’s closet, and it’s like thirty years old. My white shirt is from Zara, my necklace is from Amazon, and my earrings are from Marshalls.”

Where/who do you get your inspiration from? “Pinterest, Emma Chamberlain, or TikTok.”

Where do you usually like to shop? “I thrift a lot at Goodwill and St.Vinnies. I also like to shop at Zara and definitely Pull&Bear, Depop too. I have some things from Brandy Melville, but I don’t like to shop there, and Etsy is good for accessories.”

Dhriti Prakash (Freshman):

What would you call your style? “I like to go with the trends, but I like to add darker colors.”

Where did you get your clothing items? “The necklace is from Charming Charlie. The shirt is just a Kohls tank top, and the sweater is something that somebody just left in our house and never claimed. The pants are from Forever 21, and the shoes are from Converse.”

Where/who do you get your inspiration from? “Pinterest and TikTok.”

Where do you usually like to shop? “A lot of clothes are stolen from my parents or brother, but I do like H&M.”

Ceia Kasper (Senior):

What would you call your style? “I lay between almost grunge to more artsy.”

Where did you get your clothing items? “The sweater is from TJ Maxx, The pants are from my mom (early 2000s), the Doc Martens [shoes] I got in Florida, and I thrifted the jewelry.

Where/who do you get your inspiration from? I get my inspiration from lots of music, and my outfits reflect what I listen to. Like metal, emo, Nu/Metal.”

Where do you usually like to shop? “I like to shop at Plato’s Closet and St. Vinnies. I also unironically shop at Hot Topic and TJ Maxx.”

 

That was all of this month’s fashion trends! As we enter the winter season, warmer and more comfortable fashion has returned. Vintage looks have made a comeback as well. Keeping this in mind, hopefully you know where to shop for what you want this fall.
