The hit Hulu show “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” just dropped their fourth season back in March, and fans were unprepared for the amount of drama that happened. The show began after Utah influencer Taylor Frankie Paul’s 2023 arrest based on a domestic violence charge forced her to take center stage on national news.
This show’s leading women are Taylor Frankie Paul and her influencer friends, who are a part of a group called MomTok, a group of Mormon mothers who make TikTok content together.
All these women are members or former members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and they are expected to follow their church’s beliefs and rules; however, some of the women don’t follow all of the rules that Mormons are traditionally held to. In the Mormon religion, they are not allowed to have alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea or illegal drugs; there are also strict rules for intimacy with one’s partner due to marriage that can not happen until their 20s.
To briefly review the earlier season, in Season 1, Taylor Frankie Paul gets arrested for a domestic violence case involving herself and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. The other women in the MomTok friend group are also introduced. In Season 2, one of the women’s redemption attempts—Whitney Leavitt—is returned, and three other members of MomTok—Jen Affleck, Mikayla Matthews and Mayci Neely—all announce their pregnancies.
Season 3 is centered on the fallout of Taylor Frankie Paul’s “swinging” scandal and new allegations about cheating that involved the two other MomTok members Marciano Brunette and Jessi Ngatikaura.
Season 4 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” was a great season but personally, I think the extent of drama that Taylor Frankie Paul and Whitney Leavitt bring is honestly tiring. Still, I can not wait for Season 5, which has been confirmed; they’ve been working on filming April 21, 2026 after more drama concerning Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
Now knowing a little bit of what The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is about, I hope you stream the show on Disney+ and or Hulu now knowing that each four seasons have their own bit of drama.
